Next generation software to paint-repair with robots

New Products

The experience gained from millions of automatically repaired paint defects per year has been incorporated into the next generation of ‘Automappps’ paint-repair software (SW), by Convergent Information Technologies GmbH (convergent-it.com), Austria. Enhanced learning and self-improvement capabilities, faster planning and more defects per hour are the most striking features of the next software generation. In addition, the commissioning and optimization of the repair application with robots in particular has been further simplified and accelerated. Car-bodies and components can be repaired even more completely with less effort and with superior quality results, even in the immediate vicinity of edges or the edges. ‘Automappps’ supports various sensors for paint inspection – robot-guided and stationary. Various robot manufacturers, tools for sanding and polishing and adapters are also supported. Worldwide, more robots are automatically programmed for automotive paint repair with ‘Automappps’ than with any other software solution, notes the press release from the company. Convergent IT cooperates with and supports leading system integrators. The next generation will be presented for the first time at PaintExpo 2024 in Karlsruhe from April 9 to 12, 2024. Convergent Information Technologies GmbH is a leading provider of software for automatic and reactive robot programming and a pioneer in surface repair. The ‘Automappps’ software is used to create millions of robot programs every year, the press release notes.
